A Special Invitation
Kenneth L. Scott
I would like to extend a personal invitation for you to attend Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church of Chicago. We are a congregation that is committed to be a model of biblical faith and fellowship, by which God has called His people.
My heart’s desire is that through faith you will come to know and understand the Master’s Plan for your life and it will compel you to Christianity and exemplify the love of Christ. As believers, God has given us an assignment, to evangelize all of humanity and through our words and deeds, be an example.
God has called me to shepherd this flock and continue to move the vision forward. At Union Hill MB Church we are committed to serving with a clear vision following the Master’s Plan. First and foremost, we must “Share Christ”. This is God’s way and our opportunity to evangelize.
Again, you are welcome to come and worship with us. We look forward to your presence.

OUR BELIEFS
We believe God exists eternally and equally in three persons: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
(Matthew 28:19; Colossians 2:9)
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on the cross. He rose from the dead on the third day to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended into heaven and will return to earth to reign as King.
(Matthew 1:22-23; Romans 1:3-4; Corinthians 15:3-4; Hebrews 4:14-15)
The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. He was frequently spoken of and promised by Jesus. He lives in every Christian from the moment of authentic conversion to indwell, infill, enlighten, empower, lead, guide, correct, convict, and comfort their lives.
(John 14:16-18; Ephesians 5:18; Romans 8:15; Acts 1:8)
We believe that the Bible is inspired by God. It is a collection of writings by human authors who were under the authority of the Holy Spirit. It is to be interpreted according to its context and purpose, and when “rightly divided” it is the ultimate authority for our faith, our lives, and the practices of our church.
(Matthew 22:29; 2 Timothy 3:15-16; Romans 15:4 )
Salvation is God’s free gift to humanity but as is the case with any gift, it must be received. The way we receive this gift is only by trusting in the death, burial, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ.
(1 Timothy 2:5; Romans 10:9)
We believe that tithes, offerings, and alms are God’s financial plan for the support of His work.
(Malachi 3:10; Matthew 23:23; 2 Corinthians 9:6-12)
We believe that discipline is a gift from Christ given to His church to promote its health and productivity.
(Matthew 18:15-20; Proverbs 19:18)
